Mobil vs Meijer | BobIsTheOilGuy
A Meijer card and a Speedpass from Mobil. I tend to go to Meijer because it is about 90 seconds from our house. It is also usually the cheapest gas in the area, but since neither of us drive to work we tend not to be driven by price. My wife drives 2.5 miles to the Mobil station that she likes. She is convinced that the cars run better on this gas.

I am going to defer to Molakule for a more detailed explanation, but I do not see how inverse cP divided by % NOACK (the units of the equation) can be an indicator of base oil quality. Perhaps you are on to something here. Can anyone tell me what is so different about this oil compared to a regular full synthetic oil of the same weight and viscosity? I'm getting tired of chasing down the 508 spec stuff for my wife's 2019 Tiguan. Is it a legit difference or just snake oil to please the politicians?

I was there when we "became" Top Tier... we didn't change vendors for our fuel, they just changed the add pack the put in at the rack... Meijer Decided that it was worth the Money to Join the Top Tier program, pay the licensing fees, and for the specific additive formula.
Purolator One vs Purolator Boss Questions | BobIsTheOilGuy
I just bought quite a few of both at Meijer store @30% off. Boss seems heavier and well built with synthetic media. One is less weight with media blend. I’ll probably run the boss on my newer cars and the ones on my older rides. Louvers look open to me and both appear to be made very well.
